Not everyone is into triathlon or running. For many of you, walking is your main form of exercise and a walking challenge is a great way to stay motivated and also improve your fitness.
But have you thought that you might also need to build some strength, stability and balance into your workouts in order to complement your walking mileage?
Several years ago when I was training to do the ThreePeaks Challenge with some friends I put together this short video clip of some key exercises to do to help with the hills (both up and down!). These can be done at home and with minimal equipment and don't take up too much time. But the benefits will be noticeable.
